RSVP of Southeast Texas

Objectives: To provide support for seniors who live alone and would feel more secure with a daily phone call to check their well- being. The phone calls to the seniors will provide one of the following or all of the following:

  • Verification of client daily meal preparation and intake of frozen meal
  • Health and safety
  • Medication Reminders
  • Date and Day Reminders
  • Friendly Conversation

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Phone clients to ensure their well being
  • Uphold a professional attitude throughout the call, while being friendly and polite
  • Maintain Client Confidentiality
  • Initiate emergency procedures if call remains unanswered.

Volunteer a few hours a month or more - you choose your time available. The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) promotes volunteerism in your community.

Adults 55 and over, are eligible to receive free, supplemental insurance coverage during their volunteer service as well as be invited to attend our Volunteer Recognition Luncheon with a great speaker, door prizes and gifts!
