MONDAY, AUGUST 12th, THROUGH THURSDAY, AUGUST 16th, 2024
Any hours between 9:30 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. daily
Nursing home and assisted living residents will be camping at Camp Cheerful in Strongsville
We will need many volunteers to help with various activities at Camp Cheerful in Strongsville. We are planning to take as many residents as possible from St. Augustine Manor and St. Augustine Towers to enjoy at least one day outdoors; some will be staying overnight. We will have plenty for you to do so please plan on spending some time helping out during this special week. Activities will include swimming, grooming the horses, arts & crafts, live entertainment, fishing, and much, much more!
Volunteers will be asked to serve meals, play games, walk residents around the grounds on nice days, assist residents on and off the van, clean up, etc. Volunteers will provide their own transportation to the Camp and sign in when they arrive. We are asking for a minimum three (3) hour commitment anytime during the hours of 9:30am-8:00pm.

Within the Health Ministries, St. Augustine Health Campus cares for the chronically ill and aging through short-term rehab, assisted living, and long-term care. The St. Augustine Child Enrichment Center provides early education and child care for 80+ children, beginning at 6 weeks through preschool. Holy Family provides home health care, residential and community-based hospice services. Emerald Village Senior Living provides independent and assisted-living apartments located in the west suburbs for active seniors 55+.
