Seeking a volunteer to startup and lead a resident choir at the Colony in Eden Prairie - a senior living community. Responsibilities include helping select and plan music for weekly (or twice a month) rehearsals, teaching and coaching music, planning for 2 yearly community performances, and motivating and supervising a group of dedicated learners. Looking for candidates that are dependable and self-motivated and have a loving heart for seniors. Ideal volunteer has some experience leading a choir both directing and accompaniment. Open to two volunteers one to direct and one to accompany. Prefer a Thursday afternoon rehearsal time but some flexibility with this.
