Stein Hospice provides expert comfort care at home and in facilities to patients who are in the last few months or weeks of their lives. Comfort includes supporting the patient with the things they love, whether music, flowers, art, good conversation or simple volunteer compansionship. Right now Stein Hospice is looking for pet therapy trained dog and owner teams who are willing to learn about hospice and visit our patients at home and/or in facilities. Please contact us to learn more about the good work you can do and the smiles you can bring to a homebound, bedbound or chairbound patient.

Stein Hospice is a nonprofit organization that provides comprehensive services to terminally ill patients and their families focusing on improving their quality of life. We believe that the end of life should be spent in an environment that provides the greatest comfort and sense of emotional well-being. Our professional hospice team and our trained volunteers serve the patients wherever they call home; whether it is a house, apartment, assisted living facility or nursing home. Description
Our terminally ill patients are in need of caring companions who will help them live the best lives possible in the last months, weeks and days of their lives.
Our hospice services are coordinated and provided by an interdisiciplinary team of professionals and trained volunteers. The volunteers offer essential help either directly to patients and their families, or in our offices. Direct patient care volunteers have the opportunity to create relationships with patients, offering them dignity, companionship and caring at a time when they need human connections the most.
