Overview
Encouragemint is looking for volunteers who are able to write articles for our website that will encourage others to live life to their fullest, to research and write summaries of positive news stories, along with useful articles of general interest. Please look over our website before responding to see the type of articles we've had in the past and to give you a better idea of what we're looking for going forward. Please note that the "Not Your Everyday News" category will be eliminated in the near future and we're not looking for authors to write in that category.

Additional Details
All articles must be your own original work. You will be asked to sign an agreement to this effect. We encourage you to also include pictures with your articles, being mindful of copyright laws. Articles should be well written and articulate. Authors are expected to use grammatically sound language and to write in a clear and engaging manner, avoiding the overuse of technical terminology.

Mission Statement
This corporation is organized and operated exclusively for purposes that fall within the meaning of 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Such purposes include those that are charitable, educational, and/or aimed at preventing cruelty to children and/or animals, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code.
The corporation will also engage solely in lawful acts and activities such as charitable assistance and emotional support to the general public, provided however, that the corporation shall only engage in acts or activities that are also consistent with and in furtherance of its 501(c)(3) tax-exempt purposes.
Description
Encouragemint is a supportive online community that also engages in some in-person public service projects as well. We provide free emotional support and encouragement in our professionally monitored forums, as well as practical help for simple things that can be performed online. We also have educational information about emotional issues and mental health diagnoses and various resources such as contact information for hotlines and referral services.
Additionally, our website has positive news stories when you need a break from all the negativity, unusual news simply for entertainment purposes, and useful information you may not already know.
We aim to maintain a safe and supportive community where people can come together in a non-judgemental and encouraging setting to find and offer encouragement.
