Rev up your lawnmower and chop down a grateful senior citizen’s lawn. Adopt the yard of an elderly resident of Minneapolis or Suburban Hennepin County during the summer. Choose your own schedule, mow every other week or so depending upon weather conditions. Work with a partner and you can take turns mowing. Family teams welcome, youth must be age 7 or older and supervised by an adult. The resident will provide an appreciative smile.
Exact location TBD in Minneapolis & Hennepin County Suburbs, depends upon where the senior citizen resides. One-time unpaid volunteer opportunities are also available both indoors and outdoors. Please contact Jeanne the SCS - HOME Program, Volunteer Coordinator at scsvolunteer@seniorcommunity.org or call 952-767-7894 for more information.
