Join and come learn with us~

Seeking people who have a passion for the elderly, and the terminally ill. We are in need of wonderful, caring, people who have experience with Hospice patients or the terminally ill. This is an excellent opportunity for Social Service students, or mental health counselors to do their internship with us.

Training will be provided for volunteers in the area of Bereavement and Spiritual Counseling, and dealing with the elderly.

You will be working out in the field with our patients/clients and assisting them in their daily living. This is a great opportunity to learn more about different cultures and ethnicities.

Mission Statement

To provide an individualized program of high quality interdisciplinary care for our patients and their families in their end-of-life journey.

Description

Hospice is about supporting people in their final life journey. Death is the closure to that journey. Mnay of our hospice patients will be elderly persons. Our culture is hard on the elderly. Our goal is to have a relationship with the community. Again, the understanding is that we're not alone during a time of grief, sickness, or a time of sadness.

Death disrupts families, friends, and during these life cycles we must learn how to cope with our losses by acquiring tools and skills to help us deal with each emotion that we are being challenged during this time.
