Metro Hospice is currently looking for volunteers who are willing to visit with people on hospice service directly or help behind the scenes. Some volunteers enjoy giving their time by reading, playing music--sometimes even by watching TV with the patient. Others give support to families and caregivers by shopping and/or running errands. Voluneers also helping in the main office by answering the phone, filing, organizing and preparing materials.
Training is provided and background checks are required. Volunteers need to provide their own transportation.
