Volunteers at Elant have always been an integral part of the day to day happenings at the facility, and perform a key role in shaping the "life and atmosphere" for our residents. Your service as a volunteer will make a difference and contribute to the quality of life for each resident.
A volunteer is someone who cares and wants to devote their time to helping others. There are numerous opportunities for a volunteer to help others at Elant at Fishkill and Wappingers Falls. Through friendly visits or assisting at activities, a volunteer can help reduce lonliness and share their skills and experiences. Volunteers find their work at the facility rewarding, and as a result enrich their own lives, explore new career paths, and learn about the elderly population. Especiall need volunteers to work with Dementia residents - 1:1 visits - assist with small group activities.

Description
Elant is a not-for-profit comprehensive health care system that serves the needs of more than 3,500 individuals throughout the Hudson Valley region. The organization includes seven campuses and employs more than 1,200 dedicated individuals. Elant provides a full continuum of care, including Sub-Acute Care and Rehabilitation Services, Skilled Nursing Care, Assisted Living, Adult Day Care, Retirement Community Living, Home Health Care and a Managed Long-Term Care Plan.
