Response Teams serve as the chapter's first on-the-scene contact at a disaster. These teams are not first-responders to a disaster but rather they are the first step in the recovery process for those impacted directly by a disaster.
Response Team members are responsible for conducting disaster relief fieldwork throughout all ARC/GNY locations. Duties will include: helping to meet the immediate needs of those affected by disaster by providing emergency food, clothing and temporary shelter at disasters; conducting disaster assessments and client registration; ensuring that information is accurate for any potentially needed follow-up services; and assisting with mass feeding operations.
