Love your dog and know others would love it too? As a pet therapy visitor with hospice patients you will bring the joy and the special kind of love only an sweet animal can offer to someone who is isolated at the end of life. The power of pets to connect with others, especially those limited by dementia, amazes and touches everyone around. Let the magic happen and the smiles spread in visits that fit your schedule.

While our office is located in Westminster, we serve families and facilities around the metro area. We are one of the few local, not-for-profit, faith-based hospices in the area serving people of all beliefs and none. We provide the screening and training for those with two legs.

Your dog must be at least 1 yr. old and certified by either the Alliance of Therapy Dogs, Therapy Dogs International (TDI-dog.org) or Pet Partners (petpartners.org - includes various kinds of pets). These are NOT service dogs, but pets which have been behavior screened and insured by a reputable organization.

Be a dynamic duo for those who dearly miss the love of a furry friend and enjoy more time with your pet too. Join us and share the love!

Mission Statement

We serve our families and one another as humble servants no matter what religion, ethnicity or culture. Our mission is rooted in the Christian heritage of the Covenant Church and has been about promoting and helping people achieve maximum well-being. Hospice of Covenant Care is reflective of a spirit and idea of caring and serving that emphasizes comfort, companionship and dignity both for the patient and the family and/or friends. Our underlying values include respect for every person, the dignity of all people, and fairness and justice as expressed by the Golden Rule.

Description

We are a young, not-for-profit, faith-based hospice serving families of all faiths and backgrounds in the Denver Metro area. Through our services we support those facing a life-limiting illness, while embracing the wholeness of their life with Grace and Love. We do this with exceptional care, compassion and with a focus on respect and dignity. We are not a place (we go to where ever the client lives) but a comprehensive care provider meeting the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the family. While we are experts in physical comfort measures, we aim to help our patients and families live the best possible lives, according to their wishes, until the end. We are not too big to facilitate meaningful time and enriched lives for our families.
