Purpose

Teach seniors the benefits of expressing themselves through the art of creative writing.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare weekly lessons for seniors to learn about creative writing
  • Prepare assignments for seniors to practice creative writing
  • Communicate effectively and courteously with JASA seniors and staff

Skills

  • Experience teaching creative writing
  • Experience working with seniors is helpful, but not required
  • Patience

Other

  • Class meets on Thursday afternoons
  • Ongoing opportunity
  • Maintain professional behavior at all times and adhere to JASA’s volunteer policies
