Have you been called a "Sunday driver"? Are you one of those people that values the independence of driving so much that you want to share you enjoyment? Losing the independence that comes along with the ability to drive can be very difficult for many seniors.
You can take someone on a real "joyride" by driving her/him to appointments or shopping. Another way to help is to offer your time to run errands for groceries, household supplies and other necessities.
Taking a road trip with a senior could be a real adventure!

Mission Statement
The mission of the NORTH END-SOUTH COMO BLOCK NURSE PROGRAM is to maintain levels of independence for our neighborhood seniors through the collaborative efforts of volunteers, professional staff and contracted in-home nursing services. Proudly helping neighborhood seniors since 1987
Description
We are a non-profit community based home-care agency supported by grants, city, county and state funding, and the generous donations of our neighbors.
It is our goal to have a volunteer readily available whenever a senior or their family member calls for help!
By bringing together volunteers and older people, we can serve as a bridge to building stronger communities, the same commuinities they helped to build. Stronger communities can in turn better meet the needs and develop the strengths of people living there now and in the future.
