Gentle Dogs Needed
The Gift Of Your Dog To Others

Does your dog bring joy and laughter to your family and friends? Why not channel that joy into "volunteering" for a Hospice patient? Help us build our pet therapy program by joining our family with your four legged friend.

Generally, as you would expect, for the safety of our patients, we have specific requirements such as volunteer training, pet certification, etc. However, due to COVID19, we are unable to physically be with our patients as volunteers. So... we are looking for simple, fun videos that can be shared with patients in their own residences and in group homes. Sort of a video "card" with your pet that can be sent to anyone to cheer them.

Please call today and let's be creative together, with your best friend.

About Haven Hospice

Location:

15551 N. Greenway Hayden Loop, Suite 155, Scottsdale, AZ 85260, US

Mission Statement

Haven Hospice is committed to providing quality care for patients faced with a life-limiting illness. The goal is to improve the quality of a person's life through pain and symptom control, emotional and spiritual support. We believe that the patient and family are intergral decision making members of the hospice team in planning and receiving care. Hospice offers an alternative to repeat hospitalizations. Hospice affirms life. It neither hastens nor postpones death, but assists the patient and family in living with a life-limiting illness. Hospice regards dying as a normal process at life's end in which we can provide dignity and comfort for the patient and loved ones.

Description

Haven Hospice reaches it's goal of supporting the patient and their families through several various disciplines. Our doctors, nurses, CNA's, social workers, chaplains, volunteers and community educators make up our caring team of individuals who know how important hospice is to not only the patient, but to the entire family.
