Do you want to make a difference in the lives of those dealing with serious illness? Sprenger Hospice is looking for pet therapy volunteers for patient visits. Volunteers add purpose to the lives of terminally ill patients and their families Pets must be certified through TDI or Delta. Volunteers commit to a minimum of one hour a month, and to the hours that are most convenient for them to visit. Most visits are made in a nursing home setting. No special skills needed, we will train you free of charge.
Please, if you have had a death in the last year, wait a minimum of 1 year before volunteering to allow yourself to heal and be ready to assist others.

Description
WellSpring Hospice provides volunteers with the opportunity to visit termianally ill people and bring purpose and joy to their days. Volunteers can reminisce with patients, read to them, give religious support, assist with fundraising, help in the office, offer pet therapy visits or be as imaginitive as possible!
