If you knew that your Grandmother or Uncle or Mom or Dad needed a ride to the doctor's or dentist's office and you could help, wouldn't you do it? Of course you would!

Here's a chance to be a part of the solution for someone in your community. Drive elderly and disabled persons to doctor appointments and other essential errands.

You drive around your schedule, helping everyday or once a month, it's up to you. Your vehicle must have working lights, horn, blinkers and up to date insurance.

Rides are offered to you based on where you live and where the client lives. If you live in Stanwood, you would NOT be picking up a clint in Brier, for example,

The clients enter and exit the car on your own.

Mission Statement

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of Snohomish County matches skills/training and preferences of persons 55+ to available volunteer opportunities and promotes their voluntary service as a valuable community resource.

Description

RSVP matches personal interests, skills and lifelong experiences with non-profit public organizations at over 116 different partner agencies, including non-profits, throughout the county. Benefits of being an RSVP volunteer are: ~excess insurance coverage including Liability, Auto, and Accident. ~partial reimbursement for transporatation costs to and from volunteer stations, subject to certain regulations and limits. ~ongoing recognition and Annual Recognition Event to RSVP volunteers. The only agency tracking and reporting the volunteer activities of persons age 55 and older through the National Senior Corps, RSVP promotes retired and senior persons as viable members of the community, able to share their skills, time and experience through volunteer service.
