Central Kentucky Radio Eye, a radio reading service for people who are blind, have low-vision or other limitations making reading difficult, is currently seeking volunteer readers.
Volunteer positions involve recording a newspaper or magazine Monday through Friday between 8 am nd 4 PM. Readers are assigned a publication to read each week. A commitment of one hour (in-studio) per week and a willingness to substitute for your fellow readers is required.
Your recorded program will be broadcast later to our listeners on radios in homes, hospitals, and cable TV in Central Kentucky, and on the Internet www.RadioEye.org
All potential volunteers are required to attend a volunteer orientation, prior to volunteering. More information about orientations can be found on our website.

Mission Statement
Radio Eye is dedicated to broadcasting the reading of current newspapers and other printed materials to visually impaired and print-disabled residents of Kentucky, and to producing quality programming designed to help those individuals lead enriched, productive, and independent lives. Volunteer readers provide listeners with equal access to dozens of newspapers, magazines, and special programming to offset the impact of sight loss or physical disability that prevents them from reading printed matter.
