ORGANIZATION: Jewish Family Service of Los Angeles

We are looking for a fitness center assistant is to help ensure participants remain safe as they work out. The fitness center assistants will help ensure that the equipment is being use correctly and safely. Volunteers may also provide guided tour of the fitness facility for people who are interested in joining and collect membership fees/registrations as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 18 years of age and older
  • A background in physical fitness, exercise, physical therapy, occupational therapy, nursing, or other related field. Current certification is not required.
  • Must be able to smile and play well with others.
  • Must be able at least 2 hour a week Mon-Friday between the hours 8:30am-12:30pm

Description

We offer a wide range of flexible and meaningful volunteer opportunities across Los Angeles. We need volunteers to help in a variety of ways, including offering social support to isolated older adults, transportation assistance for older adults and adults with disabilities, and help at our meal programs, senior centers, domestic violence shelters, food pantries and more! Our opportunities are meaningful, fun and greatly appreciated. Join our work in improving the lives of countless men, women and children of all religions, ethnicities, and ages...we need you!
