Make a difference by sharing your talents and expertise with Cadence Hospice VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

When: You decide! We work with your schedule!

Where: Locations will vary depending on the patient's residence (either home or facility)

What: As a volunteer with Cadence Hospice you can make a positive impact in the lives of our patients, caregivers and their families. Volunteers are an integral part of our program and the care we provide; we are always looking for compassionate individuals to join our Volunteer Program/Team. As a volunteer you can donate your time, at the patient's place of residence, in a variety of ways including companionship and caregiver relief. Volunteers provide a variety of services including: just sitting and being present, share stories, watch a movie, listen tp music, read aloud from a favorite book, and much more!

Your service is invaluable to the patient's, their family and caregivers, and our Cadence Hospice staff. Free training is provided prepare you for patient visits and our staff is available to support you on your journey as a volunteer.

Description

Sonata Hospice Volunteers are trained to meet the needs of families and patients by providing companionship and short-term respite care. These volunteers are hand-selected and trained. Following reference and background checks, these individuals complete extensive training prior to working with patients. Volunteers make things easier by offering caregiver relief’, companionship, sharing of special interests, letter writing, reading to the patient or help with errands. We are always looking for quality volunteers. Please contact us to learn more about how you can help bring comfort to those in need.
