Club Bamboo Kitchen Helper

Work with Club Bamboo kitchen team to provide a nutritious lunch for elders in the community

Position Hours: Monday - Friday - 9 am - 12 pm at least two shifts per week for one month.

Requirements:

  • Must be under age 60 (*Please consider the CDC recommendations for at-risk populations)
  • Must currently be free of any symptoms (*Must be currently free of any flu or cold symptoms for at least 72 hours before working)
  • Good communication/organization skills, patience, willing to work in a team environment
  • Current food handler’s permit or willingness to obtain
    • Club Bamboo will pay for your permit if needed.
  • Cooking skills desired.
  • Asian language skills a plus

Precautions at the site:

  • Opportunity for social distancing (*Social distancing of 6 feet of work areas)
  • Gloves provided
  • Area is sanitized
  • No in-person physical contact required

Age Requirement: 18

The Club Bamboo Kitchen is working incredibly hard (and safely) during the COVID-19 Outbreak to get meals prepared and out the door to vulnerable community members and elders. Work with Chef Salima to provide delicious, healthy and culturally-familiar meals to elders. Volunteers will help prepare and package food, wash dishes, and clean the kitchen area to help maintain a well-run kitchen.
