Kids In A New Groove (KING) provides free, weekly music lessons to children in foster care in the Austin area. Our music mentors help these vulnerable kids build critical skills, earn their own instruments, and empower them to succeed in music, and in life.
If you are an Austin-area musician and/or music teacher, consider becoming a music mentor with Kids In A New Groove today! We are especially in need for teachers in the North Austin, Williamson, and Hays County areas.

Mission Statement
Kids in a New Groove provides private one-on-one music instruction to kids in foster care throughout Texas. KING builds a solid foundation for foster youth through music mentorship, so that youth can age out of care with tools for success. Once enrolled, students can earn their own brand new instrument, in addition to performing in recitals and shows.
