Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens

  • 83 people are interested

Love talking to people and being with animals? If yes, this is a perfect match for you! We are looking for people to share information about our amazing animals. Have a favorite animal? Start by hanging out with the giraffes! Later you can train on many other animals and move around the zoo. The personal connection you make with guests means that our message will have a bigger impact. Especially looking for volunteers for the 12-3 pm shift with our giraffes! If you have prior education experience (informal or formal) you might even be able to be trained to chat about our new lion babies!

About Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens

Location:

1590 Goodlette Rd, Naples, FL 34102, US

Mission Statement

Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens seeks to inspire people of all ages to respect, value and help conserve wildlife and our natural world.

Description

Naples Zoo is a nationally accredited zoo and yet much more than a walk-through zoo. The nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable institution also features a full day of fun activities. The paved path winds nearly a mile past rare and beautiful animals residing within a historic tropical garden of exotic plants first planted in 1919 with a fascinating history.

In this tropical setting, you can take delight at seeing many of your favorite animals like lions, giraffes, monkeys, pythons, and bears. In addition, you'll also discover feature exhibits and an array of more rarely seen creatures like a giant anteater.

Combining conservation and recreation, Naples Zoo offers fun for every generation. You'll also discover a number of ways to get involved in helping animals. The zoo is accredited by the prestigious Association of Zoos and Aquariums and is an institutional member of the American Association of Zoo Keepers.
