ORGANIZATION: WEME, a program of St. Matthew's & St. Timothy's Neighborhood Center

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

WEME Mainstream Nutrition and Health Center is a meals-on-wheels program serving approximately 500 frail homebound elderly on the upper west side of Manhattan, many of whom feel alone and forgotten. We greatly welcome volunteers who would like to make valentines day cards that will be hand delivered to our seniors. These cards will let our seniors know that someone cares and is thinking of them. Because of space limitations in our office, our volunteers make the cards at their home, school, offices, etc., and for this we are very grateful. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE AN ARTIST TO GET INVOLVED!

WE WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE RECEIVING YOUR CARDS AT OUR OFFICE BY FEBRUARY 5TH, IF AT ALL POSSIBLE. CARDS SHOULD BE SENT TO: WEME, 263 WEST 86th Street, NY, NY 10024, ATTENTION, BETH

To receive the complete project guidelines, please contact Beth Mandelbaum, Coordinator of Volunteers, at (212) 874-3750, ext 16, or by e-mail (this works best): bethatweme@yahoo.com
